As a designer and maker of stained glass windows, Wendy has become fascinated with simple cut glass. Edges can deceive. Light becomes concentrated. Images appear and disappear.
In her work she uses cut shapes that are fused and painted to achieve effects that draw the viewer in closer. The built environment, urban art and how people react to city spaces inspire her.
Wendy has been working as a stained glass artist for over 7 years and Studied at Central Saint Martins completing both the Glass and Architecture and Glass and Fine Art Post Graduate Certificates. She has worked in association with Pippa Stacey and Creative Partnerships to produce a large, colourful mobile for Bardfield Primary School, Essex where she also introduced the children to fusing.
