Following completion of the prestigious Post Graduate course at Saint Martins in 2004, Lucy has been running her independent design practice, creating bespoke work for luxury interiors and fine art pieces for exhibition.
Lucy’s signature works are intricately deep-carved vessels, (the right images are from her retail collection) embellished with intimate floral patterns. Her images dance over the surface of the glass, cutting through one layer of glass to another, revealing hidden colours from below the surface. The relationship between the delicate softness of flowers and the smooth, but brittleness of glass is explored in these tactile pieces of functional fine art.
Lucy studied for five years at the London Institute Colleges, now the University of Arts, London. Colleges attended include Camberwell College of Art, Chelsea College of Art and Design and finally Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, receiving a qualification in ‘Glass and Fine Art’.
